On Wednesday 27 November 2024, Gene Watson sent Brenda Lee an early Christmas greeting.
‘I’m looking forward to that turkey and dressing on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday 28 November 2024), so I know I’m a little early to mention Christmas – but I read recently that our dear friend, Brenda Lee, was only 13 when she recorded her iconic song, ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’, which was written by Johnny Marks (Wednesday 10 November 1909 – Tuesday 3 September 1985).
That’s just amazing.
Those of you who have met Brenda know she’s one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people you’ll meet in this business.
I’m sending Ms. Brenda an early Christmas greeting today!’
