Here goes: As an artist in Texas, I cut my teeth on ‘Fourteen Carat Mind‘ (played it every night), ‘Farewell Party‘ and ‘Love In The Hot Afternoon‘.
When I heard ‘At Last‘, it was the icing on the cake.
Gene is one of those singers when you hear him you know immediately who it is.
I got to play a show with Gene in Mineral Wells, Texas about two years ago and he’s still as strong as ever.
What a voice!
