On Thursday 9 October 2025, Gene Watson’s PR company, Adkins Entertainment in Nashville, issued an official statement, with regard to tour dates in 2025 and 2026, and the 45th anniversary, in 2026, of ‘Fourteen Carat Mind’.
‘Country music legend, Gene Watson, continues to hit the road in 2025, celebrating the 50th anniversary of his career-defining hit, ‘Love In The Hot Afternoon‘. The single climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard charts and became one of the top songs of 1975.
In 2026, Gene Watson will honor the 45th anniversary of one of his most requested songs, ‘Fourteen Carat Mind‘, released in October of 1981 and later becoming a No.1 hit.
The tour also marks a special milestone as Gene Watson approaches his 82nd birthday on Saturday 11 October 2025.
Adding to the celebration, Gene Watsonâs complete solo catalogue is now available to stream on Spotify for the very first time.
