On Monday 16 March 2026, Gene Watson looked forward to another busy, working week as he headed to Nashville, Shelby in North Carolina, and Renfro Valley in Kentucky.
‘We have a busy week, as we head up to Nashville for two Grand Ole Opry shows on Tuesday and Wednesday, then shows in Shelby, NC at the Don Gibson Theater on Friday 20 March 2026, and Saturday 21 March 2026 in Renfro Valley, KY.
On our Wednesday Opry night, we’re looking forward to singing with our good friend, Rhonda Vincent.
We decided we’ll sing ‘Together Again’, which was written by Buck Owens (Monday 12 August 1929 – Saturday 25 March 2006), and which we recorded for my album, ‘In A Perfect World‘ (Shanachie Records, 2007).
That duet kicked off a great friendship, and a recording of duets for an album she released on her own label in 2011 called ‘Your Money & My Good Looks‘ (Upper Management Music, 2011)’
