‘Friday 2 February 2024, we rolled into Nashville from Texas, and were happy to be met with warm weather, no ice, snow, or even rain.
Friday night, we enjoyed a fun night with fellow Opry members, Dailey & Vincent, Mark Wills and so many more.
Of course, when our great friend, Jeannie Seely, is also there, we spend a lot of time laughing, and talking to her.
I can’t recall the exact number, but Jeannie has made more than 5,000 appearances on the Opry.
I wish I had thought to keep a count of my visits, since my first time in the Opry circle was when I was just 21, a memorable experience given to me by The Wilburn Brothers – Doyle Wilburn (Monday 7 July 1930 – Saturday 16 October 1982) and Teddy Wilburn (Monday 30 November 1931 – Monday 24 November 2003).
As we have been announcing, I’ll be back, on Tuesday 13 February 2024, along with The Bellamy Brothers, where we’ll have the first-ever live performance of our new single, ‘Forever Ain’t Long Enough’ (written by David Bellamy).
The video will debut, on Thursday 8 February 2024, online at people.com, and the radio premiere will be on SiriusXM’s Willie’s Roadhouse on Friday 9 February 2024.
It’s a classic, just out in time for Valentine’s Day!’
