‘It’s always a great week when we get to spend extended time in Music City USA, Nashville.
The band and I really enjoy having two nights at The Grand Ole Opry, as we do this week, on Tuesday 22 August 2023 and Wednesday 23 August 2023.
The shows could be heard on WSM 650 AM.
On the night of Wednesday 23 August 2023, Rhonda Vincent and Gene Watson performed a track from Gene’s ‘Outside The Box‘ (Fourteen Carat Music, 2022) release, a song titled ‘I’ve Got One of Those Too’, which was written by Jimmy Melton and Erin Enderlin.

It’s been three years now, but I still recall the moment I was invited by Vince Gill to be an Opry member – which literally took my breath away – and then the memorable night I was inducted on Friday 7 February 2020.

Steve Wariner took time from his busy schedule to do the honours for the actual induction, and I appreciate that.
What was also very special was the number of artists who came to celebrate my special night on their rare night off.
The leading photo (above) doesn’t have all of them included, but all that were there, know they hold a special place in my heart for making the effort to welcome me to the Opry.
