On Monday 5 May 2025, Gene Watson reflected on his visit with Little Roy, at the Little Roy & Lizzy Festival in Lincolnton, Georgia which he attended on Friday 2 May 2025.
‘We do love a good Festival, and Little Roy & Lizzy sure know how to put one on every year in Lincolnton, Georgia at the Lewis Family homestead.
They always have an excellent lineup of diverse talent, plus their whole team provides a lot of great hospitality.
This year, Little Roy showed me his display of memorabilia he has collected since he started playing professionally at age 9 with The Lewis Family Band.
He was the youngest member of his family’s band, and he’s now a Bluegrass legend, but also versatile in country, Gospel and Americana.
Little Roy’s collection is not a museum he says – just a display for folks to see his lifetime in the music business, and we say it’s a life well-lived’
