On Monday 21 April 2025, Gene Watson enjoyed looking through some old photos, and remembering country music legends who had passed away.
‘Over the weekend, I had time to look at some old photos, and to think of some of our country music legends who’ve passed, but I’m grateful their music lives on.
I always enjoy the time I’ve been able to spend talking to other singers and songwriters about shows we did together, or songs I recorded of theirs.
Of course, when in the presence of a great songwriter like Mel Tillis (Monday 8 August 1932 – Sunday 19 November 2017), I’m not above asking for a few songs to be sent my way!
Here are just a few of the legends I’ve had the pleasure of visiting with, at various shows.
