On Sunday 3 August 2025, Gene Watson paid tribute to his dear friend, and fellow Opry member, Jeannie Seely, who had passed away on Friday 1 August 2025.
‘We’re still reeling from the death of our dear friend, Jeannie Seely (Saturday 6 July 1940 – Friday 1 August 2025).
She was my friend before I had anything happening in the music business, and was always someone you could ask for advice.
Smart, kind, witty, and no one could command a stage and entertain an audience like Jeannie.
