On Saturday 29 April 2023, Gene Watson recalled an appearance, on Friday 28 April 2023, at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

‘We had a great time at The Grand Ole Opry last night, Friday 28 April 2023, as we all do when backstage.
It’s like a family reunion, visiting with all the artists performing.
Here are some photos from last night, Friday 28 April 2023.

I’m sure you recognise our friend and Opry legend, Jeannie Seely, and the Queen of Bluegrass, fellow Opry star, Rhonda Vincent.

Rhonda and I ended the show with our duet of the Hank Williams (Monday 17 September 1923 – Thursday 1 January 1953) song, ‘My Sweet Love Ain’t Around’ (written by Hank Williams), which we included on ‘Your Money & My Good Looks‘ (Upper Management Music, 2011).

We always have a laugh with friend and Opry member, Mark Wills.

The young man pictured is a nice guy – new country artist, Dillon Carmichael.

Here’s one of the great guitar legends, Tommy Emmanuel – Tommy came in to the dressing room, singing a Merle Haggard (Tuesday 6 April 1937 – Wednesday 6 April 2016) classic, and I joined right in with some harmony’
