On Tuesday 25 August 2009, Gene Watson saw the release of ‘A Taste of The Truth‘ (Shanachie Records, 2009); two of the selected tracks were ‘We’ve Got A Pulse’ (written by Jerry Salley and Billy Yates), which featured guest lead vocals from Trace Adkins, and ‘Staying Together’ (written by Jerry Salley and Monty Holmes), which featured guest lead vocals from Rhonda Vincent.
