On Monday 24 July 2023, Gene Watson reflected on a hot week in Nashville at The Grand Ole Opry.
‘Oh, it was a hot time in Nashville, but not just from the heat – my band was sizzling on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry last week.
We really enjoyed our two shows, one on Tuesday 18 July 2023, and the other on Friday 21 July 2023.
Yes, we were busy, but we loved every minute.

The Opry always has wonderful moments, which I’m proud to witness, and one of those was on Friday 21 July 2023 when we were able to watch the young singer, Jake Worthington, make his Grand Ole Opry debut. Jake sings real country music, and he got a deafening round of applause from the audience that night. If you see that Jake Worthington is going to be anywhere near you, you’ll want to get to his show. I guarantee you’ll thank me later.
