On Thursday 10 December 2020, Gene Watson remembered Johnny Rodriguez on his 69th birthday.
‘Wishing Johnny Rodriguez a Happy Birthday.
Born in Sabinal, Texas in 1951, he was in the band of Tom T. Hall (Monday 25 May 1936 – Friday 20 August 2021) before he became a star on Mercury Records, produced by Jerry Kennedy.
What’s your favorite song of his? Here’s one of mine: ‘Pass Me By (If You’re Only Passing Through)’, which was written by Hillman Hall (1938 – 1989)‘
