Gene Watson Remembers Ray Price’s Recording of ‘For The Good Times’

Ray Price (Tuesday 12 January 1926 - Monday 16 December 2013)

On Saturday 22 March 2025, Gene Watson recalled Ray Price‘s recording of Kris Kristofferson’s ‘For The Good Times’.

‘Back in March 1971, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) voted Ray Price‘s song, ‘For The Good Times’, which was written by Kris Kristofferson (Monday 22 June 1936 – Saturday 28 September 2024), as ‘Song of The Year’.

It still stands as one of the great classics.

Ray Price (Tuesday 12 January 1926 – Monday 16 December 2013) was definitely one of my biggest music heroes.
