Gene Watson recorded Jeanne Pruett’s ‘Count Me Out’ and included the track on ‘My Heroes Have Always Been Country‘ (Fourteen Carat Music, 2014). The original version of this track was recorded by Marty Robbins (Saturday 26 September 1925 – Wednesday 8 December 1982) for Columbia Records in 1966 as a non-album single, reaching No.14 on the Billboard country music singles chart in 1966; the track was subsequently included on Marty Robbins’ ‘No Signs of Loneliness Here’ (Columbia Records, 1975).
