On Sunday 20 October 2024, Gene Watson reflected on a fun night (Friday 18 October 2024) at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
‘On Friday, October 18th 2024, we performed at the Grand Ole Opry and, once again, enjoyed meeting old friends and making new ones.
Our longtime friend, Jeannie Seely, dropped by to say ‘hello‘.
Jeannie, as you may know, is a prolific songwriter, singer and a host for the Grand Ole Opry.
I don’t know the current count, but I know that Jeannie has performed on the Opry stage more than any other Opry member, and it’s over 5,300 times since she was inducted back in 1967.
She’s one of our favorite people and, if you haven’t been to one of her shows, you need to get there soon as she is one of the best.
A new friend I was pleased to meet is Jade Eagleson, a Canadian ‘Country Music Entertainer of The Year’ and ‘Male Vocalist of The Year’.
This young man sings traditional country music and has already racked up more than 130 million views on YouTube, 5 No.1s on Canadian Country Radio and a slew of Gold/Platinum awards.
Be sure you check out his music!
