On Monday 19 December 2022, Gene Watson sent out a special seasonal message.
‘I hope all of you are going to be spending these next few days with your family and friends, as we gather to celebrate, at this special time of year.
I’ll be in Houston, where there will be no snow, but we’re having lots of rain, as I’m writing to you today.
I’ve been seeing reports of arctic air coming in all over the United States and Canada, so be sure to take care and stay warm and healthy.
We love the winter, but it’s not so much fun to travel in ice and snow.
Our friends in Nashville tell me they are expecting low temperatures of 9 degrees. That might be nothing to you in the north, but I know down south, that could bust some pipes somewhere!
By December 31st, we’re planning to heat things up for you, because we’re doing a big show at Sugar Creek Casino, 5304 North Broadway Avenue in Hinton, Oklahoma 73047.
On the bill with us will be Wade Hayes and Johnny Lee. It’s going to be a great night, so I hope to see some of you there!
