On Monday 24 February 2025, Gene Watson recalled his participation in the television recordings of ‘Country’s Family Reunion’ shows over the years.

‘We sure did enjoy taping the ‘Country’s Family Reunion’ shows over the years.

For me, it was a rare opportunity to visit with longtime friends before we started the actual recording of the show.

Larry Black and his team were wonderful hosts, providing a good breakfast before the show, as well as a delicious lunch, when we took a break.

So all of us had the opportunity to visit before, during and after the show taping – and we did a lot of visiting.
