On Friday 17 January 2025, Gene Watson & The Farewell Party Band were heading towards Calhoun in Georgia when their television suddenly went out.
‘Friends, this is real life on a bus.
We’re going towards Calhoun, Georgia for the show Friday (17 January 2025), and suddenly our TV goes out.
Well, we had to stop right then, and head to the nearest truck stop to buy a new one.
You know my band is talented, but I bet you didn’t know they can also install a TV at a moment’s notice.
Of course, I supervised with help from Dewayne Rice, our famous piano man.
Staley Rogers and Todd Hines manned the video camera.
That’s Robbie Primm, Chad Philips and Peanut working on the TV.
It’s a fine TV too.
