About Gene Watson's 'From The Heart'...

Album Sleeve Notes
Thanks From the Heart

'Throughout my musical career, I have had the pleasure of working with the greatest people in the business.  At this point in my career, I feel better about my new recording contract with RMG than all the others in the past.

I would like to thank, of course, my manager Allen Whitcomb for working so closely with me.  Many thanks to George Collier, president of RMG, and his staff for working out a way to get me back in the mainstream of what I love so much - COUNTRY MUSIC.

I would like to thank Ray Pennington (Friday 22 December 1933 - Wednesday 7 October 2020) for coming out of retirement to help me with this project.  I would also like to thank Buddy Emmons (Wednesday 27 January 1937 - Wednesday 29 July 2015) for coming out of studio retirement to work with me.

Other musicians I would like to thank are David Smith, Jerry Kroon, Aubrey Haynie, Gregg Galbraith, Dirk Johnson, Milton Sledge, John Wesley Ryles and Bobby All (passed away on Thursday 19 March 2009), along with one of the greatest engineers in the business, Kevin McManus.

Thanks so much to my fan club president, Leslie Ann Elliott (Tuesday 3 September 1935 - Tuesday 24 August 2021), who does such a great job, and the Bobby Roberts Company that keeps The Farewell Party Band and me busy on the road.

Most of all I want to thank my God for giving me the talent to attract all the people mentioned above, and of course, all my fans and friends who have stuck with me throughout the many years of good and bad, thick and thin, or whatever came along.

Forever country,
Gene Watson'.
