Gene Watson
April 2005

Gene Watson's 'Gene Watson: Then & Now' (Koch Records Nashville, 2005) was produced by Gene Watson.

Overview
Gene Watson's 'Gene Watson: Then & Now' (Koch Records Nashville, 2005) was the first Gene Watson collection to be released on Koch Records Nashville, a record label which was based in Nashville and New York.  However, Koch Records Nashville effectively closed its doors in Nashville on Tuesday 18 October 2005.

Gene Watson's 'Gene Watson: Then & Now' (Koch Records Nashville, 2005) had been planned to be the first in a retrospective series of concept albums featuring tracks from the very early days of Gene Watson's country music career that would see the light of day on the Koch label.

However, with the demise of the label, these plans were curtailed.

Gene Watson's 'Gene Watson: Then & Now' (Koch Records Nashville, 2005) includes thirteen tracks, all of which have appeared on various Gene Watson albums down through the years (as outlined below).

However, these tracks have been newly re-recorded using today's technology and have been digitally mastered, affording long-time fans (and new fans, too) to enjoy them.

On Tuesday 21 June 2006, 'I Catch Myself', which was written by Bruce Burch (Friday 30 January 1953 - Saturday 12 March 2022), a CD single from Gene Watson's 'Gene Watson: Then & Now' (Koch Records Nashville, 2005) was released to radio, in order to fully support the album.

The original version of 'I Catch Myself', which was written by Bruce Burch (Friday 30 January 1953 - Saturday 12 March 2022), was included on Gene Watson's 'At Last' (Warner Bros. Records, 1991)'.
