Gene Watson Peer’s Quote from Bobby Dale: June 2009

Gene Watson’s Peers within the country music industry believe in the sheer talent of this unassuming man from east Texas, so much so that Gene is regarded by many of them as ‘the singer’s singer’ – and rightly so!

All of Gene Watson’s Peers, who were contacted by The Gene Watson Fan Site, during 2009, were most gracious with their time and words.

It is here, within this special part of The Gene Watson Fan Site, that you have an opportunity to read a quote from Bobby Dale, which he submitted to this site on Wednesday 10 June 2009.

Sean Brady would like to take this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to Bobby Dale who made a special contribution to this unique part of this online ‘celebration of a Lone Star Hero’.

‘Gene Watson has always been a big inspiration to me; therefore I would welcome the opportunity to participate in any and all tributes to him.

I’ve got a lot of heroes in the country music business but I would say that Gene Watson is at the ‘top of the ladder’ and I think it is high time that he got the recognition that he deserves.

I never miss an opportunity to take in one of his shows and have never been disappointed with his performance.

Thanks for the invitation’

Thank you, Bobby Dale, for your support of Gene Watson.

Bobby Dale

Bobby Dale was raised north of Austin, Texas and is one of twelve children.

Bobby Dale’s Dad and older brothers played music and it didn’t take long until Bobby himself was hooked.

In late 2008, Bobby Dale saw the release of his debut album, ‘Something We Can’t Stop’ (Bobby Dale Music, 2008), which was self-released to wide critical acclaim, and included the following tracks:

‘Better Than The Truth’
‘The Wrong My Mind Has Done’

‘Brunette’
‘The Price We Pay (These Days For Love)’
‘If Nothing’s Going On’
‘Something We Can’t Stop’
