‘If you’re old enough to have attended a Conway Twitty (Friday 1 September 1933 – Saturday 5 June 1993) concert, you know what a performer he was and, of course, a great singer.
I had the honour of opening for him and Loretta Lynn (Thursday 14 April 1932 – Tuesday 4 October 2022) when I first started out, and I can still remember the audience roaring when Conway said ‘Hello Darlin’.
Now that was some real country music’
