Johnny Russell (Tuesday 23 January 1940 - Tuesday 3 July 2001) visits Gene Watson at MCA Records in 1984 during the recording of 'Got No Reason Now For Going Home'.'

‘Found this old photo of me with the late, great Johnny Russell (Tuesday 23 January 1940 – Tuesday 3 July 2001), a great singer, songwriter and entertainer.

No one could make you laugh like Johnny.

In this photo, he had stopped by the studio when I was recording his song, ‘Got No Reason Now For Going Home’, which was a Top 10 hit for me sometime around 1985.

RIP, Johnny’
